Commission stories from across the USA

Discover how artists respond to places, people and ambitious briefs. Each story pairs a sourced project summary with ideas for your own commission.

Independent editorial coverage. These are projects by the credited artists and organisations, not commissionit projects. Featuring an artist does not imply representation, partnership or current availability.

Our research includes CODAworx, artist studios and public commissioning bodies. We link to the original accounts so you can explore the work in depth.
