US COMMISSION STORIES

Singing River

A riverside sculpture brings wind, light and local stories into the commission brief.

Bradenton, Florida · Project One Studio and Reinaldo Correa Studio

Independent editorial coverage. These are projects by the credited artists and organisations, not commissionit projects. Featuring an artist does not imply representation, partnership or current availability.

The commission

Created for Bradenton’s Riverwalk East, Singing River combines a flowing steel structure with suspended aluminium elements, acoustic flutes and lighting. Project One Studio lists completion in 2026 and describes a collaboration with Reinaldo Correa Studio, city teams, historians, engineers and acoustic specialists.

What this suggests for your brief

A useful commission brief can begin with a place’s stories and sensory qualities. For a smaller project, ask what should change with daylight, movement or a visitor’s position. If sound or lighting is involved, include operating hours, maintenance and responsibility for replacement components.

Start with what interests you

Tell us whether it is the material, scale, light, interaction or connection to place. We can explore an original proposal for your own setting and enquire about a named artist where appropriate. Any artist involvement must be confirmed before a project is offered.
