A REAL COMMISSION · BESPOKE CERAMIC VASE
It started with a photograph.
An architect wanted a distinctive bespoke ceramic vase. They brought a reference photograph. We helped them take it from an image to a finished object.
- The referenceThe client supplied a photograph of the form they wanted to create.
- The 3D modelWe helped translate the reference into a 3D model, making the idea ready for the next stage.
- The finished vaseThe piece was made in ceramics and fired in a kiln, bringing the form into the physical world.

WHY COMMISSIONIT EXISTS
Art should feel personal.
Commissioning it should feel possible.
A good idea should not need an insider.
commissionit began with a simple frustration: commissioning art felt difficult and inaccessible. Finding the right artist, explaining an idea and knowing where to start could stand between people and something deeply meaningful.
Open the door to making something yours.
We bring people and creative talent together, with guidance that makes the journey clearer. From a first photograph or a half formed idea to an agreed brief and a finished piece, we help you take the next step.
More people commissioning. More artists creating.
We want commissioning to become a natural way to celebrate a person, shape a space or express an idea. More meaningful objects in everyday life, and more opportunities for skilled artists and makers.
Your idea belongs in the world. Let’s help you bring it to life.
INTERNATIONAL TALENT. PERSONAL SUPPORT.
Made around your ideas.
Delivered to your part of America.
A family portrait that brings everyone together. A sculpture designed for your entrance. A statement painting that feels at home in your space. commissionit connects you with specialist artists and makers, and helps turn your brief into a piece made just for you.
Artists beyond your doorstep
Explore creative talent from Europe, the United States and Asia. We help you find the right skills, materials and style for your project, whether the maker is local or overseas.
Delivery across the USA
We can arrange delivery anywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Your quote confirms the shipping arrangements and costs for your address. Large pieces, furniture and installations need an individual delivery plan.
One supported process
Share your references, agree the scope and review the proposed design before making begins. We coordinate the artist, project details and delivery arrangements, so you know what happens next.

Can I commission from photographs or an idea?
Yes. Send photographs, a sketch, examples of work you like or simply describe your idea. For a painting, we can help shape a composition from multiple references. For other creations, we find a suitable maker and arrange a tailored quote.
How do US prices and quotes work?
The painting calculator uses our existing artwork pricing. Choose USD or another supported currency for your painting estimate. New agreements and checkout use the currency you select, with the final amount confirmed before payment. Your final quote confirms delivery and any applicable taxes or import charges. Sculpture, furniture, murals and other bespoke projects receive individual quotes.
What about international shipping and import costs?
The artist location, materials, size and destination affect shipping and any import requirements. Before you commit, your quote should specify what is included and identify any charges payable separately. Delivery is not automatically included in a calculator estimate.
Can you help with a business or interior design project?
Yes. We welcome briefs for homes, workplaces, hospitality spaces, gifts and brand projects. Include dimensions, your ZIP code, installation requirements and target date so we can assess the right options.
How long will my commission take?
Timing depends on the artist, the design, materials, revisions and shipping route. Tell us your required date at the start. We confirm a realistic schedule for your specific project, including delivery to the USA.
